What is Amazon Resale (Warehouse Deals)?
It's Amazon's own outlet for returned, open-box and lightly used products. Every item is inspected by Amazon, given an honest condition grade, and sold with the standard return window — so the risk is far lower than a private second-hand purchase. In 2024 Amazon renamed the programme from 'Warehouse Deals' to 'Amazon Resale'; each European store uses its own local name (Retourenkauf in Germany, Seconde main in France, Segunda mano in Spain, RetourDeals in the Netherlands).

The condition grades, decoded
- Like New — undamaged, complete, often just an opened box. The sweet spot: biggest discount for essentially a new product.
- Very Good — minor cosmetic wear, fully functional, may come in a plain box.
- Good — visible wear or a missing non-essential accessory (check the item note).
- Acceptable — clearly used but working; only worth it at a steep discount.
Returns and warranty still apply
Resale purchases keep Amazon's standard 30-day return policy, and within the EU you keep your statutory warranty rights (2 years in most countries) against the seller. That's the key difference versus buying used from a stranger.
The cross-border trick
